Food glorious food

I’m doing pretty well at finding free meals. So far, I’ve had a big buffet lunch (Thursday lunchtime at the John Blanchard talk), a whole load of freshly made Welsh cakes (the Welsh culture evening for International students and other interested people put on by the Cardiff Christian Union, whose website can be visited at http://www.cfcu.co.uk), a barbecue (another CU evening event), Sunday lunch (big thanks to Jude and her husband, who is one of the many people whose names I don’t remember yet), and tea and pancakes for breakfast (after the CU morning prayer meeting on Monday). I also plan on going on the free Christian Union grub crawl on Thursday and to the student lunch at Highfields Church next Sunday. Ah, the hardships of student life.Today’s hot cooking tip: when cooking a ready-meal, make sure you’ve taken the food out of the plastic packaging before you put it in the oven. Trust me on this – here speaks the voice of experience.
